Fred Wahpepah, founder of Seven Circles Foundation, talks about the Vision Quest ceremony, held each spring and fall in the hills of California. See www.sevencircles.org for more information or to find out about participating.
Fred was also a master VW mechanic.
Hi guys, I'm wondering how ye survive so long without water, especially following a sweat lodge. Doesthis not require much training? Cheers.
Mesoamerica has the same exact sweat lodges called Temazcal

If more white people would embrace the benefits of psychedelics over harmful SSRIs and other harmful substances, America would begin to right it's course. Amazing how the answers hide right under our nose sometimes
Ancestor's are all you see many before death then in the afterlife Love cause I can
when highear came up martin my grandpa on my moms side never met him good to hear stories from lala
bless you Fred ,met you ,back in Oregon around 1985 at Sundance ,like your videos
15 years ago, I met Fred and participated in a sweat ceremony in the East Bay. I brought another older friend of mine with many years experience and participation in native ceremonies. One thing I tell people who want to attend any ceremony is you have to keep your eyes and ears open observing everything going on. Not all is good, spiritual or holy. Everyone in the sweat was white too. 😂 My friend and I were the only Mixed Blood Natives in attendance. We saw some things (which I will not speak on) in a public forum. Fred said that he'd hate to run into us in a dark alley. Funny because we the first to arrive before the sweat, to help out. He was very intimidated with our presence. Guess we looked scary. 😅 Fact. Anyone who has real medicine has nothing to fear. Not unless they are hiding something. We carried medicine too. Needless to say, We completed the sweat and promptly left. Didn't stick around for the potluck. Never went back either.
You say all these things but dont go into any detail...
@nostalgiatrip7331 First of all, the man is deceased. I don't need to speak about things that happened in the past. Second, who the hell are you? Why should I give you details? No profile, huh? Just some random troll talking out the side of your neck.
I have been wanting to have the holy sacrament because I need spiritual experiences. I hear voices of a man and a woman who constantly give me challenges. If anyone has advice they can give me, let me know.
I had the honor to have my very first purification Sweat Lodge with Fred Wahpepah up in the mountains of Ojai....Which led me to my vision quests in the deserts of Nevada and Arizona...and my Spiritual connection to the Hopi People and the Creator...of us all....Chi Miigwetch...A'ho...
Aho!
This is so beautiful
Peace and love to you LEMAY

God is the creator of the universe amen 🙏
I'm not native American but went on a quest and was named friendly eagle heading for his home in the sky.. Great experience
How were you able to go on the quest? I tried to look it up but they said they’re not doing it anymore. Do you know any other place that’s doing it?
@@Eddiew1991 this was a program I was in back in 1993 in Pennsylvania. We went to Michigan where I spent a week on quest.

“Give thanks for everything...even your hard times...you oughta get something out of your hard times...” Absolutely, lessons and growth. Thank you Fred for your wisdom, teachings, and generosity of Spirit. May you rest easy now. RIP
I had just been done reading an article by him. I didn't know that he had passed a few years back. Rest in peace.
I was saddened to learn that Fred passed on to the Spirit World today in Oklahoma. As your email said, “He leaves a trail of stars behind, having touched literally thousands of lives. His spirit lives on in each and every one of us.” He hosted sweats here in Berkeley for years. I am grateful to have attended a few and learned much from his wisdom. In gratitude and with prayers to his family & all who loved him🕊
We are fortunate to have the Universal Declaration of Human Rights article 18 which is our religious rights and freedoms. Within the United States of America we have the 1st amendment to the bill of rights which is our religious freedom and rights within the United States of America. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is on an International level and is recognized by the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a really good document. Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt is a genius. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has a preamble to it with 30 different articles under it.
I did a vison quest by myself at a what some consider a sacred location in Winnipeg, at the Forks, Spirit Island. At the convergence of the two rivers Assiniboine and the Red and I loved it. I did the 4 days and had a beautiful experience with nature, animals and weather. It was early Spring, in March, as I recall snow still being on the ground where I placed my tent.
Wanka tonka.
Wanka tonka.
Please, tell more, what is the tribe, what are that people he is talking about?
I did a sweat lodge with Fred about 15 years ago. Does anyone know how he is doing? Lovely man...
It said on the Seven Circle Foundation website that he retired in 2018 at 87 yrs old. I was hoping to do a ceremony with him. If anyone knows of something similar, please let me know.
Respectfully yours ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have always looked up to you and still hold your knowledge and teaching in my heart closely ❤️❤️❤️
I'm a member of the N8iv church and I really love this. We don't carry the medicine the medicine carries us. Ome' 💖🪶🪶🪶
I will always look up to you and feel your love and generosity in my heart, from YOURS FOREVER❤️
Love you Fred....❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, blessings Brother! I was led here, being led. Now I understand what just happened much better! As Chief Ouray and Chipeta are in charge. They are excellent teachers. I'm kind of along for this ride. So this is what was happening?! Wow. The Great Creator is amazing!!! Talk about love! I love my family! Thank you! I still am trying to interpret as we go. I'm even speaking Lakota, being told by Spirit what it is. When I look what I said up, there is. Wow. This is amazing! Yah, the Great Creator, bless you all! Thank you so much! All through our ancestors' guidance! (I am a scattered and solitude one, and don't think the tribe even wants me, as how I've been treated so far ...but my ancestors do! I was told to pray in Lakota, and a lovely Sister heard, she is helping much too. Wow, they had me do it all, the fasting, everything. Spot on. Nuts!!! So that is what has been happening. Sure would like one to discuss what I learned, and the 3 animals. Chipmunk, Hawk, Eagle, and Sparrow. HalleluYAH!! Yah bless you, in the name of the Great Spirit Yahashua Jesus! Thank you again! 🤗🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✝ 📯📯📯📯📯📯🕊
Indian should pass around there ceremony's to people that need it in there community...
A’ho
Last time I heard, Charles Wahpepah lived very near Miami, OK. Kickapoo. Had several children. Wonder if any relation?
I'm not native American but years ago I was hitchhiking,I had a very long week and my 2nd night in new mexico ,i had a strange series of dreams that for years took me too get over.if anybody has information on someone to talk too about dreams/visions please reach out
What did you see? Tell me and I'll ask my grandfather. He had the same thing and he did go to a vision quest.
I've had many visions in dream sincere I started believing. I interpret most of them as warnings from the Creator about things that will endanger my path... But I have had atleast One (maybe even two) of one my dreams actually come true
For anyone having a hard time fasting without food and water i recommend practicing for one day then two days and slowly work your way to where four days is a peace of cake. Ive have fasted for four days and nights without food and water. Was a magnificient magical expierence real life changing. At first I wasn't use to being in nature or fasting so i recommend slowly getting use to being in nature and fasting because the sounds are different then living in the city. This experience has showed me how powerful we really are and what the mind can achieve from experience.
i bet depression makes fasting pretty easier
@@Rqblt I bet anorexia too, psh
Does anyone know when the vision quest takes place this year 2018 or 2019? Thanks
Well the way im gonna do it im just gonna walk up a hill and sit.
It's whenever you're ready whenever the spirits tell you to go up there's no blueprint on it
Still trying to sit through a whole sweat... Let alone go through 4 days of fast? One day... No rush in the journey
@eileen MAIZE Carey What is that supposed to mean?
Wow I lived in Laytonville for years it certainly is beautiful.
BLESS GOD YOU <3
I couldn't go that long without drinking, but probably could without food.
How does one become affiliated with a tribe? My grandfather was Native American but he died before my father was even born. So my family never knew much about that side of our history. Can anyone help?
apparently its pretty hard, birth certificates and family tree and its to a specific tribe your relation.
It’s easy you literally just pay $200 but I live in Oklahoma may be different elsewhere
i need an angel my life is negative!
Please read Angels in my Hair by Lorna Byrne, it's a very helpful book
